Magpul releases new 10 & 20-round AR-10 PMAGs.
Magpul is almost synonymous with polymer magazines for the AR-15 and AR-10. Having reached historic success with their initial Magpul, rubberized magazine attachment, the company has since gone on to create polymer and metal AR-15 and AR-10 products that are industry standards for quality, durability, and lightweight functionality.
Now Magpul is offering their famous PMAG in the Gen 3 LR/SR PMAG 10. These new PMAGs are designed to enhance the options for the heavier AR-10 in 7.62 x 51mm (.308 caliber). Offered in 10 & 20-round configurations, these new PMAGs should be very popular among .308 shooters.
The 10-round PMAG sits nice and snug to the rifle.

One of my snipers has used a 10-round Magpul magazine, and has found it to be an excellent addition to his call-out gear. The PMAG is much lighter than his metal magazine counterparts, with a far less chance of snagging on gear or other items. Our entire team has been issued PMAGs for our AR-15’s for about 8 years now. We have been very impressed and pleased with their performance.
To date I can think of only two or three magazines that have needed to be replaced. Each one of those was due to cracks around the lips. The springs, case, and floor plate were still in operational condition, but repeated drops on a concrete floor finally took their toll.

Magpul PMAG 20 LR/SR Magazines
The Magpul PMAG 20 LR/SR GEN M3 offers many of the M3 improvements to the SR-25 form, 20-round 7.62 NATO/.308 Winchester magazine, and replaces the previous generation MAG243 in the Magpul line.

Restrictions on Magpul PMAG 20 LR/SR Magazines
The 20-round magazines are restricted in the following States:
California; Colorado; Connecticut; Hawaii; Maryland; Massachusetts; New Jersey; and New York.
The 20-round magazines are also restricted in Washington D.C., and may be restricted in other local jurisdictions. This should not be a problem for law enforcement agencies, but individual officers are cautioned to know their local laws on personal purchases and ownership.
